THE CORNISH EXPLORER
Friday 20th April – Monday 23rd April 2018
Because this years AGM tour is so far out the way we have decided to put on a coach tour to make it into a leisurely long weekend. The price includes all travel, accommodation, attractions and breakfast and dinner and is highly affordable.
The full itinerary is as follows:
Friday 20th April
Pick up points along the M25/M5, and mid afternoon, we visit Robert Hough in Devon, who has been acquiring mechanical musical instruments for over 50 years. This is a truly unique collection of musical boxes, barrel organs, polyphons and pianolas, set in a beautiful period theatre. Robert has only hosted 4 other group tours this year, so this will be a truly special visit.
We then make our final journey to Cornwall where we check into the Mullion Holiday Park. Their fully furnished Park Homes should give you a comfortable stay, and an evening meal is included in the price.
Saturday 21st April
Its AGM Day! After a hearty breakfast, we travel by coach to Ian Rogers premises in Hayle for a full day of music and socialising with the MOOS AGM at 2.00pm.
For those who would prefer a restful evening, you have an option of catching the coach back to Mullion at 6pm for evening meal (included in your price).
Sunday 22nd April
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll have the morning to enjoy the short walk down to the breath-taking Mullion Cove, a sandy beach full of natural beauty.
At 1pm, the coach will leave Falmouth, and take us to visit Peter Phillips, the custodian of the Anderton and Rowland Grand Organ. We will enjoy an afternoon concert with refreshments laid on for donations, and a special suprise!
From there, its back to the Mullion Holiday Park with an evening meal on the way
Monday 23rd April
The coach leaves Mullion around 9am and stops just over the Devon boarder at Dingles, which houses the National Fairground Collection. 45,000 sq.ft. This collection of fairground rides and artwork is displayed beautifully, and there are many rides you can buy a token for, including the Dodgems, Gallopers and newly restored Moonrocket. XXX
The coach then drops you off at the various points along the M5/M25.
The pick up points will be decided upon based on the locations of the members who book with us. We can suggest a nearby Travelodge to book nearer the time.
